Junior Sea Cadet STEM weekend

Junior Sea Cadet STEM weekend

That's a wrap on our first ever Junior Sea Cadet STEM Weekend.

The cadets had loads of fun learning about different aspects of scientific discovery and tried their hand at various experiments, activities, and games.

BZ (Navy speak for Well Done) to all those who attended and earned their STEM Proficiency Badge!

Special thanks to Mansfield Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets for hosting us, and to PO Priestland and PO Goulding for all their hard work planning the weekend.

CISAAM 2019

CISAAM 2019

This weekend two Burton Cadets attended a National Shooting Competition between the Sea Cadets, Army Cadets and RAF Air Cadets.

Both our cadets performed extremely well, but a special mention goes to MC Pawlowski for being selected to compete in the CISAAM Inter-Service Final as one of the top 12 Sea Cadet firers and earning a CCRS Bronze Medal!

Congratulations and BZ!

Trafalgar Parade

Trafalgar Parade

“England expects that every man will do his duty”

What an amazing Trafalgar Parade on Sunday!

Today is Trafalgar Day, a highly important day in the calendar of HMS Victory as it marks the anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar.

The cadets outdid themselves, the high standard was evident throughout. Cadets you have made yourselves, your Unit and your District proud!! 👏👏

Highlight was the attendance of Admiral Sir Trevor Soar, former Commander in Chief Fleet for the Royal Navy.

We would also like to thank all of the staff supported the event, whether it be in the colour party, guard, platoon OiCs or parade staff, as well as the parents and committee members who helped support and transport the cadets.

CATSEA 2019

CATSEA 2019

Congratulations to our RMC Detachment Team who achieved SECOND PLACE at CATSEA 2019.

CATSEA (Company Annual Training Safety and Efficiency Appraisal) is the annual appraisal of all RMC Detachments in the Company/Area. It tests their training standards through an assessed field exercise. It also acts as a competition to determine the best detachment in the Company.

It's a huge achievement to come 2nd Place 🥈 with a score of 89 points (only 2 points from 1st place) against the 28 other Detachment teams.

BZ all! Your unit is very proud.🏅
