Trafalgar Day

21 October 2020

While usually we'd be taking part in our annual Trafalgar Day Parade this year we have been unable due to COVID.

However, tonight our Junior Cadets learned all about Trafalgar Day, watched the video shared on the Sea Cadets page, wrote Trafalgar Day messages using maritime signal flags and made Lord Nelson hats! Lots of learning and paying respects - as well as having fun! BZ Juniors!

Captain's Visit

19 June 2020

What a fantastic visit from Captain Russel RN, Captain Sea Cadets!

Congratulations to CFC Luke on receiving his promotion tonight, from our very own Captain! A very special promotion indeed!

Thanks to all of the cadets for attending this evening!

There should be plenty more promotions at the end of next month too 🤞🤞

Thank you to PO Priestland for arranging the Captain's visit and thank you to CPO Edwards for running this evening's session.

BZ CFC Luke!

Community Defibrillator

Community Defibrillator

We are so happy to announce that alongside Burton Leander Rowing Club - BLRC and Trent Rowing Club we have managed to raise money for a Community Defibrillator.

The Community Defibrillator was installed today on Burton Leander's building - which is the most accessible location. This is now online and available for emergency use for the local area. 999 operators have the details and are able to provide them for an emergency.

In addition to this, the unit has also purchased a training defibrillator, which is the same model as the Community Defibrillator, which we will use during our First Aid training courses alongside the CPR.

We would like to also thank the local businesses who helped make this happen:

  • IG Elements
  • IG Masonry Support
  • SmartRoof
  • KeyStone
  • ALLCAR
