Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Garden Party And Fund...

On the Saturday 30th of Jun. 2012 Southport Sea Cadets returned to Cherry Tree Lodge to be presented with monies raised at the home’s Diamond Jubilee Garden Party which had been held on the 2nd of June 2012.

Gordon Ferguson, owner and registered manager of CTL donated  all funds raised at the garden party toward helping the Sea Cadets buy two new boats that they need for training on the Marine Lake in Southport.

The presentation was made by  the most senior resident  Mrs. May Giddman aged 101, and it was a fantastic surprise for her and everyone, that the first of the new boats will be named after her.  MAY 101   When she was given the news she said “That will be very flattering”
