Southport awarded a Burgee

Southport awarded a Burgee

We are pleased to announce this year we have been again awarded a Burgee which is the highest level of achievement awarded to Sea Cadet Units during their annual assessments.

Message from John Davies | Lt Col RM | Area Officer  "Thank you and all your team for an excellent visit last night. It was a most enjoyable evening and always a pleasure to come to what is clearly a happy and motivated Unit. I know how hard all the staff work to achieve this and the Cadets were a credit to all involved.

Visits to Units are always too short but in spite of the limited timeframe it is easy to identify those Units that are providing a positive experience for both Cadets and staff alike; Southport is most certainly doing that. The Cadets were clearly enjoying themselves despite the understandable nerves that go with such an evening and I really enjoyed meeting them and the staff as well as see support from family and friends."
