What a fantastic evening we had at yesterdays District Swimming Gala. All cadets did a fantastic job, working really well as a team but also showing great sportsmanship towards their fellow competitors.

Overall Results:
A Class- 1st place
B Class- 1st place
C Class- 1st place

Overall Swimming Gala- 1st place

All cadets should be very proud of what they achieved yesterday and also, thank you to CFC Hannah M from Aylesbury who joined our B Class relay team to allow them to complete in the relay competition.

Those cadets who gained gold medals will now move onto the Southern Area competition at HMS Temeraire on 17 November.

Big thank you to all the staff that supported and help train the cadets. Thank you to CPO Cole for organising and managing the team and to CI Blackwell for organising the swimming pool to be available and for providing lifeguard cover along with PO Perris and Josh.

Cadets at the Pretty Muddy Race for life

The Dirty Dozenโ€ฆ

Alright, it’s technically a bakers’ dozen… Well done and a massive thank you to the 9 cadets and 4 staff that helped at the Cancer Research “Pretty Muddy” Race at Willen Lake. You made a difference! The proof? Here’s what the organisers had to say:

"Thank you SO MUCH to Milton Keynes Sea Cadets for giving up yet another weekend to help us put on a fantastic event!

It was brilliant to have you guys as part of Milton Keynes Pretty Muddy and it made such a difference having the cadets’ support with running the start and finish – thank you!!

Thank you so much for helping to make the event a success for nearly 2,200 people and for helping us to raise £77,000 – well on our way to our £90,000 target! That money is crucial for our scientists, doctors and nurses who are working hard to ensure more people survive cancer.

I hope everyone enjoyed the day…"
