Gosforth Park

Cadets volunteered to spare some of their free tiime to help by working in the community once again.  This time they aided in some maintenance around Gosforth Park which included some gardening work and cleaning the park benches.

Mcdonalds Litter Pick

The Cadets aided Mcdonalds working around Seven Stories and Ouseburn Farm area.  They all helped out with picking up of litter and some gardening.  They were all treated to Mcdonalds after all their hard work.

McBeath Trophy

McBeath Trophy

Mr Rowlie Mcbeath presented the McBeath Trophy to Gosforth.

Mr Rowlie Mcbeath is the Son of Rear Admiral John McBeath, who was the Honorary Commodore of the Sea Cadets from 1958 and 1975. Rear Admiral Mcbeath founded the trophy which is awarded to a Unit which has put up a particularly meritorious performance during the year and worthy of special recognition.

POC Davies

Petty Officer Cadet Davies has done both his Unit and District proud by being named a Navy Board Cadet for the Northern area and a Lord Lieutenants’ Cadet. He now has a busy year ahead of him; he’s already attended the Mountbatten festival of music at the Royal Albert Hall and is next off to Spain to visit where our new flagship is being built to replace the aging TS Royalist.
