Llandudno Trafalgar Parade 2018

Llandudno Trafalgar Parade 2018

A massive well done to all cadets who turned out for the Trafalgar Parade in Llandudno today. You have done the Unit and District proud.

Special mention to Connah's Quay Unit for supplying cadets and joining in with our Trafalgar Parade - you are all a credit to your respective units.

BZ!

Pickles Night

Pickles Night

This event was a change in routine as the Unit hosted its first 'Pickles Night'. The Royal Navy's Senior Rates have an annual Pickle Night, as do many private clubs in the Commonwealth of Nations. Pickle Night parallels Trafalgar Night, the commemoration of the battle by the Royal Navy's Commissioned Officers, but usually held a week later. The unit had worked hard to prepare games, buffets, raffles and a stall in order to raise money for our Offshore Sail Training in 2019.

The unit raised a total of £225.00!!

Thank you to all who turned out at the Unit for our fundraising event. This was certainly one of our biggest turn outs! Thank you for all the donations, they are going to a worthy cause. All donations will go towards our Offshore Sailing Scheme next year. Many thanks to all parents, cadets and staff who made tonight happen and who have contributed to the opportunities our young people may partake in.

We have had some excellent ideas from our cadets in terms of fundraising! Keep up the momentum! If you require any assistance or are unsure on how to get your activity going, please let us know!

Thank you to parents who have kindly donated raffle prizes for our upcoming events. We truly appreciate your willingness to lend a hand.

RNA Llandudno Donation

RNA Llandudno Donation

Many thanks to Llandudno Royal Navy Association for their kind donation to the Unit. The cheque was presented by the Chair of the RNA and also the Chair for our unit, Mrs Sally Jones.

The donation will go towards our Offshore Sailing Training next year. We have a lot more to raise, but with the enthusiasm and drive we have witnessed from the cadets this evening, we should hit our target in no time!
