Not to be outdone by the Junior Cadets the older Cadets set out on thier own summer camp joined by a few staff. They got to learn and improve al ot of their skills including Physical Training and Diving. As an added bonus they all got to visit Disneyland Paris.
As part of the Diamond jubilee celebrations. 4 cadets of Chiswick unit joined cadets from 54 other Sea Cadet units to take part in the river pageant. We took our Trinity 500 "Black Pearl" down river from Putney to Greenwich, saluting HRH along the way. Despite the awful weather, all four cadets said it was a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity that they would not have missed.

Cadets came out to see the Glorianna row past carrying the Olympic torch. Not missing a chance to see this event, have some fun and do a little bit of fundraising.
As part of her Diamond Jubilee progression around the country, Her Majesty the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, visited Richmond park. Sea Cadets with Air and Army Cadets were on their very best behaviour and smartly dressed in number 1's to line the route after marching from Sheen gate. The first hail shower delayed the Queen's arrival; the second shower of hail caused her to cut her walkabout short. Despite this the cadets were glad that they had been present to mark such a momentous event.
Chiswick Sea Cadets have installed a small IT section partly funded by the Jack Petchey Foundation small grants fund.
