Northern Area Sea Cadet Band

Northern Area Sea Cadet Band

It is always a logistical challenge to travel anywhere from Campbeltown but it has never stopped us! Well done to AC Caius and OC Beth for attending the Band's Easter Course in preparation for the Nationals and where they had the opportunity to play alongside the Royal Marines Band Scotland.

First Aid at Work Course

First Aid at Work Course

Congratulations to PO MacPhail and PO Walker on passing their First Aid at Work this weekend. At the Sea Cadets, it is not only the cadets that have the opportunities to undergo training but the staff and adult volunteers can also gain valuable skills. If you are interested not only in helping young people succeed but also to gain new skills and qualifications, why not come along on Mondays or contact us for more information. training@campbeltownscc.co.uk

Young Musician Award

Young Musician Award

Congratulations to AC Suen Yee who was presented with the Most Promising Young Musician Award last night at the Rotary Club of Campbeltown Awards evening, where she also performed Schubert’s Impromptus on piano. Having previously played with the Northern Area Sea Cadets Band and the Massed Band of the Sea Cadets, and a current member of Campbeltown Brass, this award is a recognition of her dedication to music. With given opportunities, encouragement, support and hard work – all values of the Sea Cadets, we can all achieve our goals. This year there will be opportunities for cadets to go offshore, attend training courses and maybe even play at the National Competition in London. There is something for everyone. So why not come along on Monday evenings and find out what the Sea Cadets can do to help you to achieve in life.
