Bristols Lord Lt Sea cadet

We are immensely proud to announce that AC Oliver will be Bristols Lord Lt Sea cadet for the coming year.

A cadet is selected by each of the cadet forces to represent the organisation. They will attend a variety of functions with the Lord Lt of Bristol Mrs Peaches Golding.

We are so proud of his achievement he will be a great ambassador for the Sea Cadet Corps.

Can you spot a previous Lord Lt cadet in the photo?

Flying high!

Flying high!

We were very proud when OC Charlotte completed her Bronze Aviation course so imagine how proud we were when she was invited to apply to do her Silver Wings Aviation course!

Once again OC Charlotte smashed it and was presented with her Silver Wings by Avon District Officer Lt Cdr (SCC) Richard Priest.

Busy Summer Boating

Busy Summer Boating

Cadets have had a really busy summer out on the water. Qualifications gained throughout the summer include rowing, powerboat, and paddle sport we owe huge thanks to Bristol Knowle unit who helped facilitate this for us throughout the summer.

And not forgetting our Juniors who had a great day out on the water and in it! We achieved this with support from Chippenham and Trowbridge Sea Cadet units. Units working together to offer the best experience we can for our cadets.

Port Police Dogs visit

Port Police Dogs visit

What a great night it was when the Bristol Port Dogs paid us a visit with their handler Police Constable Neil Layland.

Neil bought 4 of his dogs with him and talked to the cadets about what the dogs do whilst they are working, he also explained how they were trained by him. Neil then did a display with the dogs to prove what they could do an went onto give the cadets some background on the dogs and how some were rescue dogs.

A great night was had by all and I think the dogs enjoyed all the head rubs and belly rubs they had from the cadets.

Huge thanks to all at Bristol port who facilitated the visit.
