NEW UNIT CHAPLAIN

CHANGE OF CHAPLAIN
A service led by District Chaplain the Revd. Nicky Skipworth RNR enabled the smooth change over of our unit chaplain with the Revd. Lynn Rees taking over the reins from Major Ray Hobbins SA who has given the unit valuable and appreciated guidance over many years. We wish both well.

BURGEE AWARD

A visit to Aberystwyth by Lt Commander David Tink RN (Rtd), who was a sea cadet in the early 50s on Aberystwyths’ TS Thunderer, was a golden opportunity for the presentation of a Burgee award to the unit, Officer in Charge LT(SCC) Kelvin Jones RNR commented  ‘Since being formed in 1944 this is the very first time that Aberystwyth Sea Cadets have been awarded a Burgee and it’s fitting reward for all the hard work and commitment by all who are involved, a brilliant team effort’.
