A fantastic day for Stonehaven Sea Cadets at Area Competition.

A huge well done and thank you to every cadet who took part yesterday. It was an early start and a long day, but the effort, discipline and determination shown by everyone was outstanding. You represented the unit with pride from start to finish.

After months of Wednesday night training, the team’s hard work paid off. We haven’t entered a drill competition for many years, so bringing home a Silver Medal is an incredible achievement.

POC Jack led the Colour Party with confidence and pride, while our pipers were outstanding once again, securing first place for the second year running. CFC Helen also achieved a fantastic second place in a very competitive individual field and will now head to Nationals in April with the piping team.

A huge thank you to the training staff – SLt Coolahan, PO Barclay and PO Paul – for their dedication and support behind the scenes.

What a successful end to a busy couple weeks!

Over the past few weeks, our cadets have worked tirelessly to rehearse a drill routine and piping on the Bosun’s Call before competing in the Grampian District Sea Cadets drill and piping competition today.

All cadets performed brilliantly today, but we are very proud to say that Stonehaven once again showed their exceptional hard work (and guidance from their dedicated instructors!!) paid off and we came home with Gold for all entries!

Keep up the hard work, for the next competition is only a couple weeks away, being held at HMS Caledonia!

Congratulations to Leading Cadet Ross on successfully passing his Intermediate Drill this weekend — a fantastic achievement that reflects his hard work, dedication, and commitment to maintaining the highest standards.

Well done as well to Marine Cadet Aaron and Marine Cadet Katy, who both passed their Skill at Arms and Weapons Handling Test. This is an important milestone that demonstrates their professionalism, discipline, and continued development.

These accomplishments are a credit to you all and to the effort you’ve put in during training. Keep up the excellent work — very well deserved.
