After several months training, OC Adam Johnson, CDT Corey O'Neill and CDT David Gibson were selected for the North West Area Drill Team. They entered the Competition in April 2015 and were not successful in placing however the effort and sheer determination to train was outstanding. Bravo Zulu to the Team members. 

Throughout March to April on every Thursday parade evenings at Stand Easy, Scimitar cadets have been raising money for Willowbrook Hospice by selling Hotdogs, Pizza and Cakes. They have now completed this and have raised £67.60. Congratulations to all the staff & cadets that were involved!

St Helens Sea Cadets played host to the North West Area Seamanship & Engineering Competition on 29th March 2015. Scimitar's very own team who came 1st at the Merseyside East Competition were entered into this to compete against other Districts in the Area. Scimitar came 4th place. Cadets CPL J Pedder-Platt, CDT A Cowell & AC S Bull formed St Helens Engineering team. Bravo Zulu to their efforts and attendance!

Cadets & Staff from Scimitar attended a presentation ceremony hosted by the Friends of the Sea in the Wirral (25/03/2015). They kindly donated £300 to the unit for improvements to the Accommodation block that is currently under maintenance. We thank them for their support!

Some of Scimitar's ships company (OC Johnson, CDT C O'Neil & CDT D Gibson) were selected to form part of the Merseyside East District Drill team that was to be entered into the North West Area Drill Competition 2015 (March). They were successful and came 1st in the Unarmed Drill category. This means they will be entering the National Drill Competition representing North West Area. Well Done to all involved, especially to our shipmates!
