Captain Sea Cadet Corps' Comments

With an overall score of 85% TS Cossack SCC has a bright future continuing our quest for the Canada Trophy.

PRE DINGHY INSTRUCTOR COURSE

A sunny day at Royal Victoria Dock Boating station.

Alfie Button completed his skills assessment as a prerequisite of attending the RYA Dinghy Instructor Course in April.

At the same time other Southwark Cadets were involved in rowing and power training.

Join Southwark Sea Cadet Unit to get involved and there are plenty of taster and qualifying courses during the Easter school holiday period.

Next weekend it's the Jack Petchey Achievement Awards presentations at Kensington Town Hall.

SHIPWTIGHTS AWARDS DINNER 2017

AC Ben Prior attended the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights Admissions & Awards Dinner at Fishmongers Hall to receive a TS Royalist Bursary for his cruise aboard the Sea Cadet tall ship in October.

Several cadets from London Area attended the event in the presence of  presence of HRH The Princess Royal as well as many other distinguished guests including former First Sea Lords. 

District Seamanship Competition

Three teams from Southwark took part in the London Southern District Seamanship Competition and at the end of the event were well represented in the medals.

The Junior Sea Cadet team finished in first place while the Senior Cadet Team finished in second place. The Cadet team also did well.

Well done to all who took part.

RYA LEVEL 1 POWER SUCCESS

Well done to those cadets completing Level 1 Power at RVDBS on Sunday.

Next to aim for is Level 2.

Plenty of opportunities at Royal Victoria Dock, Welsh Harp or even HMS Caledonia or HMS Raleigh.
