We wish to thank you all for your hard work over this past year.

One last note, All staff at the unit wish you all a merry Christmas and happier new year

Prince's Trust Make Over

At the end of October, a group of young people from West Lancs Prince's Trust completed their social action project at Skelmersdale Sea Cadets.

Midway through their 10 week programme to develop skills and confidence, Team Skelmersdale 45, consisting of eleven 18-20 year olds, chose to try out their painting skills at our unit....and we are so glad they did!

Over four days, they transformed our graffitied building into a much smarter version of itself.  They even helped us tidy up the grounds around the unit too!

Thank you to the team. We love our make over!

We are OPEN again and Training Ship Rodney is moving forward!

With a new Officer in Charge and a New Chairman in place changes are happening at Skelmersdale Sea Cadet Unit.

If you were once a cadet at the unit but left, come along and see if you like the changes, no obligation just come have a chat to find out more!!!

Good Luck is wished (but really we know they do not need it) to L/C Lauren Cookey-Price and Cdt Dillon Schiller who will be going to London for the Trafalgar Parade. We are all very proud to have them representing the unit at this very prestigious event.

A Halloween Fun Night will be held on the last parade evening this month for Halloween (Thursday 30 October) as a little chill out because I know we all intend to work so hard throughout the month trying to pull the unit back together in one way and another after being closed.  What with usual training, some cadets nearing advancement and additional drill training for Remembrance Day (Sunday 09 November).  So all suggestions welcome to the OIC, ideas so far are: carve the pumpkin, fun  quiz, apple bobbing.

A personal note of appreciation is given from the OIC to the Chairman for all his hard work on moving the mast. The whole set up he has put together with the little quarterdeck etc makes it so much more of a stand out focal point now as it should be, so thank you very much Chris and I am sure I also speak on behalf of everybody within the unit.
