Adult Volunteers need training too!

As adult volunteers to the Sea Cadets and Royal Marine Cadets the staff need training too. The Corps offers a comprehensive training program for new and experienced volunteer staff in order to ensure the cadets get comprehensive training by suitably skilled staff. Swamp Testing Completed - ready to go boating!

Swamp Testing Completed - ready to go boating!

This weekend saw a group of cadets and staff volunteers undertaking the annual boat swamp testing. This ensures our boats are safe to use during the boating season. Intriguingly it requires flooding the boats for a period of time to ensure they don't sink. All was successful which means our boating programme for the summer can commence into full swing and we can get the cadets out  onto the water - light permitting- on parade nights.
