On Sunday 9th November Morecambe & Heysham Sea Cadets joined local ACF, RAFAC, Police Cadets, Serving Members of the Armed Forces and Veterans to pay their respects and participate in the Remembrance Sunday Service and Morecambe Cenotaph.

Last night, Morecambe & Heysham Sea Cadets welcomed our Commander (SCC) P Burns MBE DL RNR to conduct out Royal Naval Parade (RNP) Inspection. The evening showcased the dedication, teamwork, and commitment of our cadets and volunteers as they demonstrated the high standards of training and discipline within the unit.

A huge well done and congratulations to all our cadets for their hard work, enthusiasm, and professionalism throughout the evening — you were a credit to yourselves and the unit.

Thank you also to our staff and committee for their continued support and effort in maintaining the high standards that make Morecambe & Heysham SCC such a successful and thriving unit.

We are proud to announce that Sub Lieutenant (SCC) Andrew Wilkinson RNR, Commanding Officer of Morecambe & Heysham Sea Cadets, has been formally presented with his Commissioning Scroll.

The Commissioning Scroll represents the formal recognition of an officer’s appointment within the Sea Cadet Corps under the authority of the Royal Navy and His Majesty The King. This honour signifies the trust placed in Sub Lt (SCC) Wilkinson to uphold the values of the Service and to lead, inspire, and develop young people through the opportunities offered by the Sea Cadet experience.

This milestone reflects years of dedicated service, leadership, and commitment to ensuring that cadets in the Morecambe & Heysham area receive high-quality training and support in all aspects of their development.

Congratulations to Sub Lt (SCC) Wilkinson on this proud and well-deserved achievement.
