Calling all former Maidenhead Sea Cadets ...

The 2014 President's Parade will be taking place on Friday 5th December at 19:00 and all former Maidenhead Sea Cadets still in the area are cordially invited to join us for the evening. The Unit President, Cllr Andrew Jenner JP, will be presenting our cadets with awards. It's now been 72 years since the unit was formed - the photo below pictures our unit in 1943!

A great turn out from Maidenhead at the District Trafalgar Parade yesterday. VIPs were impressed by the quality of cadets on parade. Well done all. Remembrance next!

Prince Philip Challenge

On Sunday 12th October, cadets from Maidenhead and Windsor went head to head in numerous challenges involving rowing and kayak relay races. The event was attended by HM Lord Lieutenant for Berkshire, the Mayor Cllr Andrew Jenner and trustees of the Prince Philip Fund. Maidenhead put in a strong effort; well done all those involved.

Big month for qualifications!

Big month for qualifications!

It's been a big month for qualifications with many more cadets booked up on Southern Area MACT next month! Cdt. 1st Taylor, AC O'Connell, Cdt. Quinn and POC Kyle-Davidson have achieved basic campcraft; Cdt. Holloway and Cdt. Myles have achieved basic mountain biking; Cdt. Finkemeyer achieved his BCU 1* award and JC Haugh and JC McCann achieved Paddlepower Start! POC Kyle-Davidson and Cdt. 1st Taylor have also completed their D of E Bronze Physical Section. Congratulations all!

AC O'Connell at NCR 2014!

AC O'Connell represented Southern Area at the National Combined Regatta at the Excel Centre, London yesterday. Although missing out on a medal, he showed great solid effort against tough and bulky opposition and we as a unit are very proud of him.  Well Done!
