Hi everyone,

Just a quick message to let you know that the Unit will be closed during the week commencing Monday 10th August 2026, which means that both Parade Nights that week — Tuesday 11th and Friday 14th August — will be cancelled.

I think you’ve all earned a bit of a break! You’ve been working incredibly hard, getting stuck into activities, training and everything else that comes with being a Cadet, so this is a chance for you all to have some well-earned rest and time to yourselves. You deserve it!

While you’re enjoying the break, we won’t be putting our feet up completely! We’ll be using the time to carry out some much-needed maintenance and improvements around the Unit. Some of it will be the usual routine jobs, but we’re also giving a few areas a bit of a face-lift 👀🛠️

I’m not going to give too much away just yet, but stay tuned to find out more... 😉

Enjoy your time off, have a good rest, and I look forward to seeing you all back at the Unit refreshed and ready for more adventures!

On Saturday 18th July, Maidenhead joined Units from across the Southern Area for a fantastic day of competition at the Southern Area Regatta.

It was a great opportunity for our members to come together, enjoy the day on the water, and put their skills to the test in a range of exciting events. We were particularly proud to come away with a Silver Medal in the Power Handling event 🥈 — a brilliant achievement and a fantastic result for the team!

A huge well done to everyone who took part and represented Maidenhead throughout the day. We would also like to congratulate all the other Units who competed in the rowing races. It was fantastic to see so many teams taking part, showing great teamwork, determination and sportsmanship.

Well done to everyone involved, and thank you to all those who helped make the Southern Area Regatta such an enjoyable and memorable event. We’re already looking forward to the next one! 👏🚣‍♂️

Congratulations to our polo team that competed in today’s area paddlesport competition!

Not only did we go ahead and win the competition, but we also went ahead and did so unbeaten, no goals conceded and OC Harriet scored OVER 10 GOALS in her first polo competition!!!

Congratulations to the whole team your show of teamwork, commitment to each other and determination to win was outstanding!

This Monday evening 3 of maidenhead cadets attended Henley Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets for the Berkshire District Power Boat handling competition.

We would like to congratulate the team on coming first

All your extra training had paid off you all done us proud now we are getting ready for Area.

A massive well done to you all.

We would also like to thank the staff who give up their time to help them train in preparation without our adult training team our cadets would not get this experience.

We want to congratulate our two new Cdt Sgt’s Dexter and Evan on completing their National Sergeant’s board this weekend.

You have done amazing preparing for the board whilst studying and doing your exams.

We are all super proud of you both.

Thank you to all involved in getting our cadets board ready and traveling to both drop them off and collect them without you our cadets would not be able to be prepared and get to their courses/Boards.
