A Fantastic Friday at T.S. Iron Duke! 

What a fantastic turnout we had on Friday for our monthly Divisions and Cadet Inspections! The evening was made even more special as we held our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Quiz Night. 🧠👏

T.S. Iron Duke would like to extend a huge thank you to all the parents, visitors and our special guests from the Bracknell Branch of the Royal Naval Association for joining us and making the evening such a success.

A massive BZ (Bravo Zulu) to all our Cadets who were awarded qualifications and achieved their promotions! 🏅 Your hard work, dedication and commitment are something to be proud of.

Congratulations to everyone on their achievements, and thank you to all who continue to support our Unit! ⚓💙

Monday Throwback! 🚤

On 4th October, our Cadets took part in the annual Maidenhead Boundary Walk, providing a Water Taxi Service to help members of the public along the way!

The event gives walkers the opportunity to raise money for their favourite charities through sponsorship while enjoying a fascinating route through some of the beautiful Berkshire countryside, retracing the ancient boundaries of Maidenhead in the Royal County of Berkshire.

Whether walking for a good cause, supporting Rotary’s charitable work or simply enjoying the day, it’s a fantastic community event — and we’re proud our Cadets could play their part! 💙👏

Friendly Reminder to all Sea Cadets, Royal Marine Cadets & Juniors!

This Friday is our first Blues Evening of the year!

That means it’s time to put on your Best Uniform / No. 1s and get ready for Inspections.

This is also a great opportunity to start getting yourselves ready for Remembrance Day. Make sure your uniform is looking its absolute best — polished shoes, clean uniform and all badges/insignia correctly worn.

Let’s start as we mean to go on: smart, sharp and shipshape!

Our friends at Bracknell RNA has shared this story from the August 2026 edition of the Navy News with us with regard to one of our Royal Marine Cadets, Cadet Sergeant Evan who participated in the Tall Ships Races 2026.
This was a fantastic opportunity for cadets involved to embark on growing in confidence, teamwork and leadership.
Meeting new cadets and having to bond and work together as a team for the first time.
I know Cdt Sgt Evan enjoyed and learned so much and he was so grateful to have been given the chance to experience this once in a cadet lifetime opportunity.

What a great evening for our Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets!

Tonight’s activities focused on leadership, teamwork, communication, and building trust. Cadets were challenged to think on their feet, take on different roles, make decisions, and work together as a team.

It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, supporting one another, and developing their confidence along the way. 👏
