Area Paddlesports Competition

Well done to AC Aaron and OC Joseph who placed 3rd in the 500m doubles at the Area Paddlesports competition held in Reading on 9th July 2023.

District First Aid Winners!

Congratulations to the unit's First Aid team who have won the District First Aid competition for the second year in a row.

Congratulations also to AC Ryan, and OC Dawson who achieved 1st and 2nd place respectively in the Individual Competition.

The team also won the First Aid/General Knowledge quiz on the day!

Cadet Fist Class Barry was also awarded the endeavour award for acting as a 'bystander' in the scenarios. Well done to all the cadets who volunteered to be bystanders and casualties.

The team was trained by CI Amber Gordon, and Lt(SCC) Alison Anderson.

Promotion to PPO

7 July 2023

Congratulations to our adult volunteer Robert Orchard who this week was promoted from a Civilian Instructor to the rate of Probationary Petty Officer.

PPO Orchard will now work towards gaining his Core Modules and his Basic Leadship Course to become a Substantive Petty Officer.

Unit Specialisation Weekend

Unit Specialisation Weekend

We were delighted to run a Specialisation weekend at the unit on 27th and 28th May.

3 cadets from Bognor Regis unit joined our 8 cadets to learn Specialisations including, Basic Catering, Basic Marine Engineering and Basic Seamanship.

The catering class made use of the newly fitted galley.

All of the cadets performed brilliantly, and came away with 11 qualifications between them.

Congratulations to AC Ryan, and Lt Dawn Osborne who subject to confirmation have passed as a Cadet Piping instructor, and Piping instructor respectively.

Littlehampton Colour Guard earns 3rd place

Congratulations to the unit's Colour Guard who having won the Central District competition, represented the district at the Area competition.

Due to their hard work and determination, the Colour Guard team earned 3rd place in the Area competition. Well done to everyone involved!
