Congrations to our Senior Boys (15-18yo) 5-A-Side team, who won the District competition, beating Gosport unit by 1 goal to nil.
The Boys will go on to represent the District at the Aare competition in January, and will team up with Gosport cadets to make a full team.
A huge well done to the unit's First Aid Competition team, who represented the Area at the National Competition.
The team WON the National Sea Cadet competition, and then represented the SCC in the Tri-Service competition, where they came 4th, only by a 20 point margin.
Thank you to Natasha Johnstone from the RNLI who visted the unit last night to give a talk about the RNLI and water safety.
The Cadets really enjoyed the visit, and were really engaged in what was presented to them.
They now have a good understanding of the dangers around the water, and know what to do if they find themselves in the water - FLOAT TO LIVE.
Huge congratulations to our unit FIrst Aid team who this weekend won the AREA First Aid Competition.
As well as winning first place in the Team competition, our cadets LC Alice and AC Aaron who came joint First place in the individual competition. OC Dawson came in 2nd place in the individuals.
The team will now represent the Area at the National competition in November.
On Friday 8th September we received our Area Officer, CDR T Price, RN to the unit for our Royal Naval Parade 2023.
