As part of a joint initiative with Croydon Sailing Club, our cadets have been able to start sailing at South Norwood lake in Croydon. This is a great opportunity for cadets to get afloat locally in Croydon, without the need for lengthy journeys, wasting valuable time on the road rather than being on the water. Sailing helps our young people develop skills such as leadership, teamwork and self confidence. Here is a video. Why not come and join them!

National Band Competition
Music is one of the many activities Sea Cadets can do. The National Sea Cadets Band competition was held on Saturday 22 August, in the grounds of the National Maritime Museum Greenwich, such a fitting place for the event to take place. Bands representing each of the six administrative areas of Sea Cadets took part. The finale was a display by the world famous Royal Marines Band, which was an inspiration to all who attended, particularly the cadet musicians many of whom go onto join the Royal Marines Band service.

Social evening 21 Oct
We are holding a social evening on Wednesday 21 Oct 1915 to 2130, at the unit in Mitcham Road Territorial Army Barracks CRO 3RU. We have places for more cadets and want more young people in Croydon to benefit from the life changing experiences, opportunities and activities on offer.
