End of an Era

End of an Era

Last night (18th September) the unit celebrated the end of Petty Officer J Farrell's time as command. All cadets and staff wore their full number one uniform and members of the Unit Management Committee attended the celebration to award PO Farrell with a thank you gift for all his hard work and efforts over the past 4 years in charge of the unit. The Chairman, Alwyn Mason stated that without his efforts the unit would have closed.

PO Farrell will know take an absence of leave from the unit (and a little bit from cadetting all together) and return in November, as a general unit instructor.

Petty Officer J Crowther has been appointed by the Captain of Sea Cadets to take over as Officer in Charge and everyone wishes him well for his time in office.

The cadets were inspected by the Mayor of Llandudno Cllr Myra Wigzell, who plays an active part on the UMC, and the District Officer for North Wales, Lt Cdr (SCC) C Jones RNR.
