A massive well done to PO Lockwood and Sgt Armstrong, who over the last week have both gone through an incredibly grueling PT course, where they faced many tasks, hurdles, and assessments, and after an amazing passing-out parade yesterday, they are both now officially Physical Training Instructors!

What a great night at Clip n Climb Garforth with the cadets last night! Massive thanks to the team there for having us and to all our own staff and volunteers who help make these events happen 
The cadets who attended had an absolute blast – loads of laughs, loads of climbing, and a good challenge for everyone. Was also lovely to catch up with a few of the parents who stayed and enjoyed a Costa while watching the chaos unfold from the balcony!

Wakefield Boating
What an incredible way to round off a brilliant long weekend of activities! 
Tonight, we headed over to Wakefield Unit for some boating – and the weather was on our side! 
Two groups took on the trinity boats, while another crew worked the displacement powerboat.
Huge well done to all our cadets for getting stuck in, and a massive thank you to our amazing adult volunteers – none of this would be possible without you!

What an absolute belter of a day at North Yorkshire Water Park!

Our SeaCadets, Royal Marine Cadets and Junior Cadets have been smashing it today – from flying down the zip line, showing off their aim with archery, paddle boarding like pros, and finishing with an all-out battle on the massive inflatable water course!
Everyone had such a brilliant time – loads of smiles, a few epic wipe-outs on the inflatables, and plenty of memories made. Days like this show the amazing confidence and team spirit our young people are building every week.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) Vist
What an absolute cracker of a night at Castleford Sea Cadets! 
We kicked things off with an incredible visit from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS). Our cadets and juniors got a rare behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of an ambulance, exploring the kit, learning about emergency response, and even getting hands-on with some of the equipment. Safe to say, there might be a few future paramedics in the making after tonight!
Meanwhile, a small group of cadets were out honing their navigation skills around the unit. Some brilliant map work on display – and a few bits to polish up – but plenty of determination and teamwork shining through.
To round off the evening, we welcomed both the Company Sergeant Major and the Detachment Commander from Hull Sea Cadets for a Lance Corporal board assessment. After smashing the drill, we’re excited to announce a brand-new, very proud Lance Corporal in our ranks! 
A fantastic evening of learning, teamwork, and achievement – well done to everyone involved.
