Light up Red - Scottish Poppy Appeal

Light up Red - Scottish Poppy Appeal

In recent years Poppy Scotland raises awareness of the Scottish Poppy Appeal by lighting up Red as they recover from the massive impact Covid had on their ability to run street collections.

The campaign need to rasie more awareness than it has ever done before.

This year Sea Cadets - Aberdeen have joined some of the countries most well know buildings and joins the likes of Aberdeen City Council's headquaters, Marshall Collage and the Gordon Highlanders Museum and Edinburgh Castle.

Our main mast that overlooks the navigation channel of Aberdeen Harbour has been a prominent feature since 1954 was refurbished in 2018 by Dales Marine Services.

Sea Cadets - Aberdeen were awared a grant last year as part of the light up for the festive period and we the mast was fitted with new LED lights.

The mast will be lit at TS SCYLLA from the 22th of October till the 14th of Novermber 2021
