Two members of Sea Cadets - Aberdeen were invited to attend and take part in the National Trafalgar Parade in London on the 22nd of October 2017.
The Trafalgar Day parade is a yearly march through the heart of London marking the anniversary of the battle of Trafalgar. The Sea Cadets mark the date with a parade on Trafalgar Square that everyone is welcome to watch.
At the battle, which took place on October 21, Admiral Lord Nelson famously defeated the French and Spanish fleets of Cape Trafalgar in South West Spain, although losing his own life in the battle when he had been hit by a marksman from the French ship Redoutable.
Around 400 cadets took part in this year's parade, coming from all over the country.
Lc Kerian and SLt Peter Ritchie made the long journey down to Whale Island for 2 days of training before the heading up to London for the main event.
Kerian said that although it was a long and hard exhausting 5 days, but it was a honor to be in the center of London and marching past places like Buckingham Palace.
