Other news - Tuesday 19th Feb

Tonight we are having an informal visit from RNAS Yeovilton's Commanding Officer, Commodore Alexander.

Swimming is back on on Thursday.

On Friday we have a recruitment evening and we also need a few cadets to assist with an event at the Fleet Air Arm Museum.

Congratulations...

Congratulations...

...to our two drill teams.

Firstly, our Royal Marines Cadets took part in the Troop Competition on Sunday and came first: they will now go on to represent the Troop in the Company Competition.  We are very proud of them - and all the more so as they had to be at the unit by 6.15am on Sunday and still managed to stay awake and win!

Secondly, Sunday was equally good news for the Sea Cadets Drill Team which came second in the District Competition, held at the base.  Again we are very proud of them, particularly as five of the team only joined the group on Saturday morning and they all gave up their weekend to practice.

Well done to everyone involved - not forgetting the staff who gave up their time.

All those in the teams going to the area competition need to speak to their parents to check whether or not they are available on the 27th.  If you are not available, please let the staff in the ship's office know on Tuesday.
