Warsash Unit Enters the District Power Boating...

After the unit received its Champ back in May it has been put to good use, in training the crew for this years Power boat competition.
The Wessex district competition took place at Poole unit on Sunday 6th of June, it was the first boating competition of the year and the first time the unit has entered the competition.
After a uniform inspection it was on the boat handling which was held in Poole harbour, it was a nail biting 30 minutes in which the Crew took the champ through its paces and carried out a number of manoeuvres.
After the other crews hand completed their own assessments it was back to Poole unit and time for the results.
The units crew came forth out of nine with only a matter of a few points separating 4th, 3rd & 2nd. Which for a first time event was a fantastic result.
A big Bravo Zulu to the crew for competing & to the staff who trained the Crew roll on next year.
