Presentation Evening 2018

Saturday 27th of January 2018 saw our annual Presentation Evening take place. This year it was held at the New Oscott Social Club, Sutton Coldfield. The Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP, President of T.S. Sutton Coldfield was invited as the V.I.P.

The evening began with various awards, given to the cadets which were deemed suitable for each award. This year, staff awards were also introduced, where the cadets could choose their suitable member of staff for each award.

Several guests were invited, including the Commanding Officer from the previous year Lt. Alan Wright, to come and present the awards to the cadets.

The evening concluded with a disco for the cadets, parents, supporters and staff to enjoy!

Well done to all that won awards, onwards into the new year!

Merry Christmas 2017

Merry Christmas 2017

As the year closed to an end for T.S. Sutton Coldfield, the cadets participated in one final fundraiser.

A final bag pack was organised for the 24/12/2017 at Morrisons, where cadets assisted the shoppers, the band played for passers by and Topper the Bear made a return, putting a smiles on everyone's faces!

The cadet year finished with the final fundraiser gaining £1008 for the unit, showing that no matter the day our cadets are willing to do anything for the benefit of the unit.

Until the new year begins, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Sutton Coldfield Sea Cadets ?

Today saw our cadets running through Sutton Park, completing several tasks as the year closed to an end.

In competition, five groups of cadets crawled, jumped and dived through five activities to determine a single winner.

The team that won, lead by Able Cadet Bamford, was Raleigh, who took home selection boxes this year.

Merry Christmas from T.S. Sutton Coldfield, see you in the new year ?
