Today saw our cadets running through Sutton Park, completing several tasks as the year closed to an end.
In competition, five groups of cadets crawled, jumped and dived through five activities to determine a single winner.
The team that won, lead by Able Cadet Bamford, was Raleigh, who took home selection boxes this year.

Hello! It took some time, but we are now finally active across all four social media sites that we can be on!
Facebook and Twitter allow us to get messages out to our cadets and their parents about upcoming events, courses and competitions. We are now utilising these fully.
Instagram and YouTube allow us to document and show our cadets hard work across the country, as they thrive to complete courses and win competitions!

This weekend saw us send 14 cadets and 3 members of staff to the Arena Birmingham.
On Saturday and Sunday several of our cadets, as well as members of staff, attended the annual event held at the Arena Birmingham. The Birmingham Tattoo is an event that features over 1000 performers, bringing together marching bands, exciting displays and culminating in the spectacular Grand Finale featuring all the performers in a spectacle of pomp and pageantry.
It is always an event we look forward to as our cadets get to experience what other organisations are like, as well as show that Sutton Coldfield Sea Cadets are the best out there by parading in front of over 15,000 people! No matter what they do, our cadets always make us proud!

Today we saw a few events take place, one that is a large change.
Today, Petty Officer D. Morgan was appointed as the 1st lieutenant for T.S. Sutton Coldfield. Good luck to him, as well as the OiC Sub Lt. J. Walsh as they lead the unit to new heights!
Also, I can announce that the winners of the divisional game...is....MAINTOPS! Well done to all cadets involved! And Quarterdeck? Better luck next time!

Today, we sent three cadets down to Weston-Super-Mare to take part in the South West Area Marine Engineering Competition. There is no District stage in this competition, so our cadets were chosen by our OiC to represent Warwickshire District.
Ordinary Cadets Horsley and Marks, as well as Cadet Secker, had to complete a number of tasks across the day such as circuit building and answering questions.
They placed 5th in the competition, making T.S. Sutton Coldfield proud!
