Our kayakers had a brilliant night learning new skills and playing games!
Busy night on the water last night as our sailors were out sailing and our rowing team were practising hard!
Also a big well done to able cadet Bailey for passing his level 2 powerboat!
We managed to get on the water for a while last night to do some sailing and kayaking before the rain hit!
It’s the end of #nationalvolunteersweek and we would like to say a massive thank you to every member of our staff and committee. Their time and commitment to the unit is massive and we would not be anywhere without them!
Our staff and committee put so much time and effort into everything from delivering lessons, boating, transportation, organising fundraising events, maintaining the unit.. to name a few
Also all the behind the scenes of planning lessons, cleaning the boats, preparing for parades, tidying up after fundraising events and so much more.. all of this is done along side their full time jobs and lives!
All of this is done to provide our cadets with the best cadet experience that they can have and to teach them life long lessons and skills and we hope that our cadets enjoy every night and the time that they spend with us!
A massive well done to all of our cadets that took place in todays rowing competition!
Our results were;
Junior boys; 2nd
Open boys; 4th
Open girls; 2nd
Junior sea cadets; 1st!
Congratulations to everyone that took part- now it’s time to practice for the area competition!
