Southern Area organised a day onboard Black Swan, a 15m motor launch, for cadets to take part in a Solent passage.
Our cadets took an active part onboard, helming, man overboard drills, anchoring and navigation, from Cowes to the Hamble and Beaulieu River and back!
Cadets & staff paraded on Ryde Seafront, as well as seeing a Spitfire Aerobatic Display & a Parachute Display Team!
Huge well done to all who participated!
We were invited along to Oakfield Primary School to give the children an insight to what we do at Sea Cadets.
We also had a mini competition going on alongside the table, where they could test their CPR skills out - and they did really well!
We had lots of fun and hopefully some future Cadets in the making!
There’s no better way to spend the evening than on the water kayaking!
A lovely evening for our first Summer Active session of the season, with cadets and staff from both Ryde & Cowes Unit out sailing!
It's great to see our Quests (training boats) back on the water where they belong :)
