Coming up!

9 May 2018

We'll be at the Watford Volunteering Fair as part of Volunteer Week - The Parade Watford, Saturday 2 June, 11 to 2. Come and see what you can get up to as a Sea Cadet Volunteer!

And we'll be at the Rickmansworth Festival, 19 and 20 May - you can sample paddlesport and rowing, all free, at Batchworth.

Unit Facebook Group & Page

Unit Facebook Group & Page

For those of you on Facebook there is a group to help our parents and active supporters keep up with all the goings-on of the Unit. This is highly recommended as it is by far the most up to date source of information about our activities.

This group is open to current Rickmansworth cadets, staff, parents and committee members.

Just search Facebook for "Rickmansworth and Watford Sea Cadets", or try this link - www.facebook.com/groups/TS.Renown - and request to join!

There is also a public Facebook page that can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/RickmansworthSeaCadets  This is for anyone to visit, and keeps everyone up to date with our more significant 'items'. Make sure you send the link to your friends and families so that they can see who we are - and 'Like' us!

Parade Nights & CO's Divisions

Parade Nights & CO's Divisions

Cadets parade on Tuesdays AND Thursdays.

Juniors parade on Thursdays.

CO's Inspection and Divisions (No. 1 Uniform), normally followed by Divisional Meetings, are usually on the first Thursday of each month, but check the calendar.

All parade nights start promptly at 19:15.

If you cannot attend a regular Parade Night, you MUST let your Divisional Officer know IN ADVANCE.

Remembrance at Croxley Green

Remembrance at Croxley Green

TS RENOWN, the Rickmansworth and Watford unit, has traditionally taken part in the Remembrance Service at Croxley Green, the parish in which we've been located since 1964.

The service itself, a cross-denominational one of course, is held at All Saints Church from 1415, before we all march or otherwise process to the nearby War Memerial. This year we were a bit depleted in numbers: we had two Cadets parading with other Units and four (with one member of the staff) at the Cenotaph in Whitehall (one had carried the Sea Cadet Corps Standard at the Festival of Remembrance the night before), and we always provide a ceremonial guard of four Cadets round the Memorial itself. But we still had a platoon of 20  Sea Cadets and 9 Junior Sea Cadets on parade, to join the Royal British Legion and other groups from the village at this very important annual remembrance for those who have given their all in the search for peace. We will remember them.
