March 20th 2020 The Portsmouth Armed Guard Team won the Area Cometition.  They will go on to represent Southern Area in the National Competition. BZ

We are proud to announce on the 20th March 2022, the Portsmouth Guard came first in the Area Drill competition. BZ to LC Tiya who won best guard commander! 🥇  They will now go on to the National competition representing the Southern Area. Congratulations goes to all the other teams who competed.

Rifle drill is used in the Sea Cadets to teach teamwork, commitment and self discipline. The rifles used are used for parade purposes only.

BZ to Portsmouth Cadets who were at the Armed Forces Day event at The Historic Dockyard They had the honour of meeting Joe, a 98 year old D Day hero and went with him on some amazing WW2 boats.

On 6th June 1944 an operation took place that not only changed the course of the Second World War it changed the shape of Europe and the world. Today our cadets assisted Boat House Number 4 and the Historic Dockyard commemorate the 77th anniversary of D Day. Each and every cadet who attended today should be very proud of yourselves you proved yourselves to be perfect ambassadors for the Unit and the Corps.

Congratulations to AC Ewan who leaves TS Alamein to join the Royal Navy next week. He will always remain part of the Sea Cadet family at Portsmouth Unit and we wish him well in his new career.
