On Saturday 23rd March and Friday 29th March, events were held at the Elveden Inn and Elveden Courtyard Restaurant and were, despite the adverse weather, a great success. Grand Opening of the New Boat Shed

Grand Opening of the New Boat Shed

On Saturday 25th February Councilller Tony Wheble along with the members of the Projects Working Committee from Mildenhall Parish Council attended a Grand Boat Shed Opening. Following photographs, a welcome address and a prayer the Chairman Cllr Wheble cut the ribbon. Also present were friends from the local branch of the Royal British Legion, cadets, staff, UMC members and Parents. Once proceedings had finished everyone retired to the main deck for a lunch.

Also present was Counciller Stephen Frost to inspect the new Trinity 500 boat that he helped to fund.

Mildenhall take delivery of their new boat

On Thursday 26th January the CO, Chairman, PO Banks and Mrs Towler drove to RAF Cranwell to collect the new unit Trinity 500. Mrs Towler drove very carefully to make sure that the boat arrived in one piece.

The purchase of the boat was made possible following some vigorous fundraising by the cadets and a very generous £750 donation from Counciller Stephen Frost. We would like to thank Cllr Frost for his support and Sainsburys for allowing us to pack bags just before Christmas, raising £975.

We look forward to training for the District Regatta in May.
