HMS Kent Visit

HMS Kent Visit

10 lucky Cadets and 2 Staff had the privilege of having a guided tour around HMS Kent an active Type 23 Frigate while it was moored in Dover, on Sunday 2nd October 2017. A Lieutenant from the Ships Company gave a very detailed and informative tour which gave the Cadets an insight to what life is like on a Royal Navy Warship.

District Swimming Competition

Cadets took part in the Annual District Swimming Competition where the Cadets are put into different swimming races including backstroke, breaststroke, front crawl and butterfly. Several Cadets took park with a variation of medals and positions achieved, everyone came away with something. One cadet preformed extremely well and will be going forward to Area to represent West Kent in November.

District MACT

8 Cadets and two members of staff joined HMS Cavalier throughout August attending various courses which were being run. Three Juniors attended the Naval Acquaint course which is designed to give new Cadets the chance to experience the basics of being a Sea Cadet. The other 5 Cadets completed specialisations including Chartwork and Navigation and Meteorology. All Cadets passed their courses, well done to all. A big thank you to the two Staff who supported the courses onboard.
