Happy New Year from King's Lynn Sea Cadets

31 December 2024

We hope all cadets, volunteers and families had a wonderful Christmas.

As 2024 comes to a close I want to thank all of the ship's company and it's supporters for their help, support and hard work over the past year.

As 2025 approaches we have much to look forward to, including the launch of our brand new Royal Marine Cadet Detachment, our awards ceremony in March, as well as many laughs, fantastic opportunities and many qualifications.

Of course we still have spaces for young people or new volunteers to join so get in contact with us now to see what we do in the new year.

Once again a big Bravo Zulu for 2024 and I wish you all the best for 2025.

Tonight saw our staff and cadets honour CPO Mike Massen, who passed away suddenly earlier this year. Mike was much loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. He gave so much support to all our cadets and staff and is sorely missed.

Farewell to AC Jonathan

Farewell to AC Jonathan

Today we said goodbye to AC Jonathan, who is making a big move all the way to New Zealand to study.

Jonathan has been at the unit for over three years and certainly made an impact during that time. All of us at TS Vancouver wish you the best of luck for the future, and we can't wait to hear your updates and stories.

2024 Remembrance Day

2024 Remembrance Day

On Sunday 10th November, our unit joined veterans, other cadet forces, and serving forces to take part in Kings Lynn's annual Remembrance Day. The cadets did a fantastic job of representing the unit and paying homage to those we remember.

All cadets passed this weekend's MACT, and they were all a credit to the unit for working hard and giving up their weekend to pass the MACT.
