Kiera Comes Tops with National Award!

Our very own LC Kiera Yeoman has been awarded the 2010 Pollock Memorial Prize beating off 500 other national applicants. It is awarded annually to the cadet who obtains the highest examination marks on the Leading Cadet Advancement Course held at SCTC HMS Excellent each year.

The David & Peter Pollock Memorial Prize was given by the relatives of Patrick Pollock who was drowned in 1933 while sailing in the Solent. The prize takes the form of a silver plated Boatswain Call and chain presented in a case inscribed with LC Yeomans name which is retained by the cadet.

Kiera who has an ambition to be a doctor in the Navy is passionate about PT and is a qualified instructor at area level. She was presented the award in a special ceremony to mark the prestigious occasion watched by fellow cadets and a very proud mum and dad.

Well done Kiera, we are very proud of you!
