Remembrance Parades, Fundraising and p

It's been a hugely busy week for TS Quail...

- Friday saw another batch of New entries promoted to Cadet, with a range of new recruits attending,

- Saturday had the staff and a determined cadre of cadets collecting for the RBL at Green Park Underground station, raising an impressive amount in a busy day, followed by the evening with the ships company spent preparing their uniform and boots at the unit...

- Sunday brought the highlight of the season, with the full ships company represented for the first time in many years at Islington Veterans' Associations Remembrance Parades at Islington Green and Spa Green.

All the cadets and staff did their duty in style, with our cadets playing a key role in the service and representing themselves with confidence and excellent self discipline and teamwork in the run up.

If you'd like to get involved, we're recruiting for volunteers and cadet new entries to start within the year, ahead of a busy new year... Do get in touch directly today and come be a part of something bigger and serious fun.

Community Engagement

This weekend our cadets and staff were out in all weathers, fundraising for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2025 - Working with Islington and Kings Cross/ St Pancras Poppy Appeals, they engaged with members of the public, sold poppies and represented them for days of collecting to help the awesome work that the RBL do.

This contributes to their cadet syllabus and life experiences, building confidence, communicating effectively with the public, and supporting a great cause.

If you'd like to get involved, we're always on the lookout for volunteers and cadets who are up to the challenge - Get in touch now.

Preparations for the season...

This week our cadets have welcomed the CO of City of London Unit and a few other Guests, who were able to help our new crew members preparing for the ceremonial season on our main deck.

Drill is used to give cadets self discipline, a sense of pride in what they do, and confidence to face their challenges.

If you'd like to learn more, please get in touch, volunteers and cadets are always welcome to see our unit and get involved.
