Bisley 2019

In 2019 PO Mustoe and Massey took a team to Bisley for the Competition Shoot. After a weeks training they then took part in the shoot. The cadets had a great time, and even gained the 150th Imperial Badge.

Royal Duties for Leading Cadet

3 July 2019

On 3rd July Leading Cadet Amy undertook her duties as Lord Lt Cadet for Dyfed at the National Botanical Gardens in Carmarthenshire. She was on hand with the Lord Lt Miss Sara Edwards and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. A huge honour for Amy and Fishguard Sea Cadets

Fishguard Host District Kayaking Event

Today Fishguard Sea Cadets hosted the West Wales District Kayak Comp at Lower Town Harbour. Fishguard Unit did really well with 3 gold medals as follows:-

Junior Boys K2 Time Trial

Junior Boys K2 sprint

Junior Sea Cadet Sprint Male

We also came runner up in the Competition Overall

Really proud of all the achievements today’s I would like to thank the cadets for their commitment today

I would also like to thank all the staff who helped today all of whom have been at the unit since 07.00/08.00, getting Kit and boats ready  

Finally, thank you to the Parents Committee for all their help today with Teas, Coffees and soft drinks etc, you have all been amazing not just today all weekend

Roundtable Nautical Fun Day and Raft Race

On 29th June we took part and helped the Round Table with the above. We had stalls, PR Stand, Cadets took part in the Raft Race and Sand Castle Competitions, and also we helped marshall and safety boat for the Sea Swim, with the Cadets looking after the entries.

We had a great day! with over £300 raised on the day.

District Rowing Success!

District Rowing Success!

On Sunday the 16th June, Fishguard Sea Cadets took 5 Trinity Crews and 2 Yole Crews to compete at the West Wales District Rowing Competition. It was a good day of competition, although the weather wasn’t very kind to us. We ended the day having achieved the following results

Open Girls - Runners Up

Open Boys - 3rd

Junior Sea Cadets - Runners Up

 

Open Yole Male - Runners Up

Open Yole Female - Runners Up

 

The winners will now go through to the Area Competition, which is at Bristol Docks this weekend (06.07.19), where they will compete against the best in the South West Area from Penzance up to Birmingham.
