Our inexperienced team, half of whom have joined the Unit in the past six months, worked fantastically hard to gain third place, in this gruelling test of brains and brawn. Training Outcomes- 12th September 2014

The highlight of Unit training over the past couple of months has been four days of sail and canoe training at Danson Lake in Bexley. Over four days cadets R Borg, A Amin, G Bueser, A Bueser and J Gols Baldajos together with staff member Emilia Temblett passed the RYA Stage 1 sailing course. These cadets and staff were joined by cadets T Borg and Kai Thompson to successfully complete the BCU 1 Star canoeing course.

This activity was funded by money raised at Cannon Street during our Flag Day in May. A big thank you to the staff and customers at Cannon Street.

BBQ with our new Unit Chaplain, 30th August 2014

We are delighted to welcome The Reverend David Ackerman to his new role as our Unit Chaplain. As an "official" first appearance (David has in fact attended several UMT meetings while the paperwork was being sorted out), PASA organised a BBQ at David's church, St John the Evangelist in Kensal Green. We wish David all the best in this important role catering for the pastoral care of our youngsters.

White Water Rafting- 21st August 2014

Nine City of London Cadets, three Enfield Cadets and two members of staff spent the day at the Lee Valley Park. They started with a couple of hours on the Olympic White Water Rafting Circuit and ended with a chill-out picnic in the Nature Reserve. Imogen Singer said “It was really exciting smashing through the rapids, while concentrating on the orders that you’re being given”.
