Welcoming ProSource Team Ltd to Castleford

Welcoming ProSource Team Ltd to Castleford

Last night we had the pleasure of hosting Andrea Eli from ProSource Team Ltd, one of our proud 2025 sponsors.

It was fantastic to show Andrea around the unit and give her a glimpse of what her company’s support is helping us achieve. From training to adventures, every bit of backing helps our cadets grow in confidence, gain new skills, and create lasting memories.

We’re thrilled to have ProSource Team Ltd on board and look forward to working together throughout the year.

Thank you for your support – see you again soon!

Cadets Set Off on Course Adventure

It was a very early start this morning for some of our cadets as they headed off bright and early to begin their latest Sea Cadets course.

We wish them the best of luck and hope they have a brilliant time learning new skills, making new mates, and representing Castleford with pride.

Enjoy every minute – we’ll see you all Sunday!

Castleford Sea Cadets Retain Burgee Status

Castleford Sea Cadets Retain Burgee Status

As we reach the halfway point of half term, we're proud to share some brilliant news with our Castleford Sea Cadets family.

Each year, every unit across the Sea Cadet Corps undergoes a Unit Review – a formal inspection that looks at everything from cadet experience and training to administration, governance, and volunteer support. Following our 2024 review, we’re delighted to confirm that Castleford Sea Cadets has once again achieved Burgee status – the highest grade a unit can receive!

This marks our second consecutive Burgee – a true reflection of the dedication, teamwork, and effort poured into the unit over the past year.

A huge thank you goes out to our incredible adult volunteers. Your time, energy and commitment are what keep the unit running and make opportunities possible for our cadets.

To our cadets – your continued engagement, enthusiasm, and effort have been fantastic. You should be proud of yourselves.

And of course, to all the parents and carers – thank you for your ongoing support. Whether it's helping with transport, attending events, or simply cheering from the sidelines, your role is a vital part of our success.

Let’s carry this momentum forward into 2025.

36 Years of Dedication: Lt Cdr Spink Honoured

36 Years of Dedication: Lt Cdr Spink Honoured

On 10th February 2025, we had the absolute pleasure of awarding Lt Cdr (SCC) Spink RNR his 4th clasp to the Cadet Forces Medal, marking an incredible 36 years of dedicated adult volunteer service within the Sea Cadets.

This milestone is a true testament to Lt Cdr Spink’s unwavering commitment, leadership, and continued passion for shaping the lives of young people through the Corps. Each clasp represents six additional years of service beyond the initial twelve required for the medal – a rare achievement and one that speaks volumes of his legacy.

👏👏 Congratulations, Sir – and here’s to many more years of service and inspiration!
