District Officer Visit - Nov 2025

It was great to welcome the South East District Officer, Lieutenant Commander Janner-Burgess, and the District Training Officer, Chief Petty Officer Easter, to the Unit tonight.

As well as getting to see our final preparations for Remembrance Sunday, we were able to ask the District Officer to conduct an enrolment. Well done to Recruit York who said his Royal Marines Cadet promise and was enrolled as a Royal Marines Cadet. Welcome to the Ship's Company!

Celebrating Trustees' Week 2025

This week we recognise and thank our trustees for the vital role they play in guiding and supporting our Unit. Their time, expertise and commitment help us to offer a great experience for young people in and around Cambridge.

From governance to growth, our trustees help shape the future of Sea Cadets locally and we are grateful for everything they do.

Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2025

Supporting the local community is an important part of Sea Cadets. On Sat 25 Oct our Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets were collecting for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal in the Grand Arcade in Cambridge.

On this first day alone they raised over £1,500 for this important charity - contributing to over £2,400 raised on the day in total. Well done to everyone who was there.

Our Cadets and Adult Volunteers will be back collecting on Sat 1 Nov and Sat 8 Nov in the same location so please come along and say hello if you're in the city.
