PCI Mack led a team of Cadets in the Cardboard Boat Race at the Water Festival this year. The named themselves 'The underwater display team' which was quite apt! However, their efforts were rewarded with the Most Spectacular Sinking Trophy.
The Parent Supports Group, were also present on the quayside with a tombola stall, helping to raise funds for the Unit.

The annual Awards Night where we celebrate the successes of the Cadets and the Unit over the pass year. The Awards were presented by Mrs Kathy Murdoch in the presence of the Mayor and Mayoress of Bideford and Northam, parents, grandparents, Cadets and staff.
Some Cadets from the Unit representing Devon District at the SW Area Football Competition in Gloucester. Devon achieved 2nd place overall with the Senior Boys coming 1st, Senior Girls coming 2nd, Junior Boys coming 5th and Junior Girls coming 6th. A great effort by them all and the Senior Boys now represent SW Area at the National Finals.
Bideford Unit sent a Junior and Senior Boys Football Team to the Devon District Football Competition held at Lymstone. Our Junior Boys won their category and our Senior Boys came runners up in theirs. The Junior Boys now go forward to the South West Area Competition representing Devon and two of our Senior Team have also been picked to attend.
