Last Thursday the younger members of the Ships Company took the opportunity to visit Southborough Fire Station where they got to experience the kit they wear and use, the role of a retained Firefighter and basic fire prevention.
Sunday 13th Ocotber 2024 saw members of the Ship's Company join 600 other Sea cadets and Royal Marines Cadets parade in Windsor from Victoria Barracks to the Quadrangle at Windsor Castle in support of Southern Area and Zulu Company's combined RM360 and Trafalgar Day Parade.
Training took place at Brunswick Camp in Surrey on Saturday and after breakfast on Sunday the short drive to Windsor was made.
All our cadets represented themselves and the unit impeccably for what was a once in a lifetime event for them.
Over the 19th and 26th September 2024 younger members of the Ships Company visited Charlie's Angels Kitchen which is located just around the corner from our headquarters on Albion Road.
The business, which specialises in sustainable food usage and minimising food waste to help the local community and Charlie gave our cadets a feel for her passion and knowledge in this area.
Thank you to Charlie for her time over these tow dates which have been really appreciated by our cadets.
Tuesday 24th September saw the Army's Engagement Leadership Team visit the unit where all the cadets were kept occupied with a variety of tasks to enhance leadership and teamwork ethics. This was followed by an update on how the modern British Army operates.
