South West Area Combined Regatta Aug 2017 Port...

5 cadets from Telford Unit represented the Mercia District Team this month with 4 cadets winning their races and qualifying for the National competion in London in September 2017.  Going through are OC Cheal, OC Swain, OC Dale & CFC Curzon.  Well done guys and well done to everyone on the Mercia Team across the district - you were amazing! Mercia District Paddlesports Regatta 2017

7 cadets from Telford competed in the 2017 District Regatta.  All cadets performed fantastically with Junior Girls winning their category and all cadets being placed and coming home with medals.  All 7 cadets qualified for the South West Area Regatta in August!  The trophy cabinet is filling up nicely!

Telford Sea Cadets assisted the Severn Hospice marshalling at the Shrewsbury Dragon Boat Race in July.  They also supported and cheered on PO Fowler and her team from Viessmann Limited who have sponsored the unit colours.  For mainly novices the Viessmann Team did well coming around mid way in a table of 40 Teams!

On Sunday 11th June Telford Sea Cadets took part in the District Rowing Competition.  They achieved many great results in 6 categories including, for the first time in some time, yole rowing.  As a result Telford Sea Cadets are Mercia District Overall Rowing Winners!  More trophyware for the unit!

On Saturday 10th June 10 cadets assisted in marshalling, paint throwing and welcoming at the finish line competitors in the 2nd Severn Hospice Colour Run in which over 1200 People took part.  As you can see the cadets enjoyed getting very messy!
