Sea Cadet Activity

17 March 2020

To All Cadets and Parents/Carers of Tameside Sea Cadets.

Regarding Covid-19 and guidelines from the Government.

Following the message from the Captain of the Sea Cadets last night to all the volunteers we need to advise that the unit will be closed this evening and you will be notified when we can reopen.

The management team at the unit wish to ensure that all cadets and NOK/Carers are kept fully in the picture as things develop. We wholeheartedly support the difficult decision we have had to make but it is in the interests of cadets, volunteers and the nation that we maintain an adherence to guidelines of non essential travel and social contact being minimised at this time.

NOK/Carers should also be receiving a message in the next day or so to communicate directly the rational behind our difficult decision. We would like to stress that we do not have any current cases notified at our Unit.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

Commander Janet Evans                        Mrs H Morrison

OIC Tameside Unit                                   Unit Chairperson
