Scimitar raises funds for Help For Heroes...

On the 4th July 2015, Scimitar and her crew collected vital funds for Help For Heroes Charity at Asda in St Helens. Thank you to everyone that contributed. We raised a massive £290 to such a good cause. Bravo Zulu!

Scimitar shows a fine display for Armed Forces...

This year saw TS Scimitar at it's strongest. The unit held many local stalls from around St Helens and put on several shows of Dance, Music & of course, Serious Fun! This event also seen the annual Army vs Navy Tug of War Match with the Navy won last year. Once again the Navy won this match and retain their title. A big thank you to everyone that attended and made this event truly successful. A special mention to our Chairperson, Samantha Thompson who went above the call of duty to arrange this event. Scimitar wins Asda Chosen By You Token Competition

For the past couple of weeks, Asda in St Helens has had a token collection for 3 charities/organisations that were to be voted for by the public to win up to £200. The very good news is that St Helens Sea Cadets won the token collection and will be shortly receiving a cheque payment of £200 towards vital unit funds. Thank you to everyone that voted for us!

St Helens raise the Flag for Armed Forces Day...

On Monday 22nd June 2015, St Helens raised the Armed Forces Day flag above the Town Hall in support of all our Armed Forces across the World. Scimitar showed a fine display by supporting this event. Bravo Zulu to all who attended!

Scimitar is triumphant at the Merseyside East...

St Helens Sea Cadets in previous years have been successful at this competition, especially last year when the Junior Girls Team managed to compete at the National Sea Cadet Rowing Competition - a first in a long time for Scimitar. Today (Sunday 21st June 15), Scimitar attended the District Rowing Competition at Liverpool Waterfront Sports Centre. We entered 3 Teams - Junior Boys, Junior Girls & Senior Boys. The overall results were fantastic!

This is magnificent achievement for Scimitar and her Ships Company. We now have 2 teams entered in the North West Area Competition. Bravo Zulu to all that participated and made this event truly successful.
