T.S Jack Petchy Voyage 14th April - 20th April...

On 14th April 2012 6 Cadets and 2 Instructors from Staines & Egham Unit set sail for a week offshore voyage onboard T.S Jack Petchy. As the weather was terrible not much sea time was had, however the cadets did get to visit the Isle of Wight, Brighton, Gosport and Portsmouth. They were all given the opportunity to work on the bridge and all had the chance to be 'captain ' for 15 minutes each.

New Open Canoes

New Open Canoes

On Thursday 29/03/12 the unit had 3 brand new open canoes, 6 paddles and 6 helmets delivered. These we purchased as part of our ongoing commitment to delivering BCU qualifications at the unit. Sports England kindly awarded us a grant of £1500 for these boats. Bring on the good weather so that we can have a play about on the river this summer.
